Jenkins County Jail
Designed to replace an outdated County facility, this new 55-bed, 14,555 SF jail cost $3,141,200. The project was constructed using Georgia Department of Corrections Inmate Labor crews, which saved the County a significant amount of money in labor costs. The building is one-story with a mezzanine control room for observation of the jail cells. The exterior walls and roofing are metal and interior partitions are CMU. The project was completed using the Design/Build delivery method.
