Corrections Design
Our Corrections Studio leader, Jim Ingram, AIA, NCARB, is a recognized expert in the field of corrections design. Jim has been the architect for more than 150 corrections building programs in the last 50 years. His work includes programming, design and construction administration for sheriff’s offices, jails, prisons, probation detention centers, boot camps, and work-release programs. His designs follow the American Correctional Association Standards, as well as each State’s specific standards.
Our programming and design are focused on creating operational efficiency. We specify time-tested methods and materials and state-of-the art building systems which provide solid construction. Significant consideration is given to site lines, and staff required to operate the facility along with durable finishes which are easy to maintain. Further, our projects always include analysis of location and weather requirements particularly those related to coastal weather impacts on building systems and longevity.
